MEDICAL SYMPOSIUM

The Medical Symposium is the culmination of intellectual prowess and flawless presentation. It is an event wherein a team of undergraduate students from each college presents a medically relevant study with a fresh perspective after thorough research.


RULES AND REGULATIONS

  1. The team should strictly comprise only of undergraduate students (including interns).
  2. All participants are required to produce a valid college identity card at the time of confirming their registration.
  3. The topic for their presentation should be medically relevant which can be based on any of the following: clinical, laboratory, or community and allied subjects.
  4. Each team should comprise of a minimum of 4 members and a maximum of 12 members.
  5. Each team shall not have more than 6 speakers.
  6. The time allotted for each team is 20 minutes. Marks shall be deducted for exceeding the time limit. This will be followed by a 5 minute question & answer session by the judges.
  7. The college identity should not be revealed at any point during the presentation or speeches.
  8. The presentation shall strictly be in MS Office 2010 or higher versions.
  9. If a member of any team is found violating any of the above rules, the team is liable to be disqualified.
  10. The judges’ verdict shall be binding.
  11. The abstract shall be in the following format with a maximum word limit of 500 words:
    • Introduction
    • Aims
    • Objectives
    • Methodology
    • Results
    • Conclusion

Registration Date: Participants should e-mail their abstracts latest by 15th February, 2020 to [email protected]
The entries will be screened and the selected participants will be informed accordingly.
Selected teams shall perform on 19th March, 2020.

2nd Prize: Worth Rs. 20,000 + Trophy


Best Speaker: Worth Rs. 5,000 + Trophy

Best Presentation: Worth Rs. 7,500 + Trophy


Certificates of participation will be awarded to each participant.
